Nervous System Regulation

This refers to the body’s ability to balance and manage the activity of the autonomic nervous system (ANS), which has two main branches:

  1. Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) – Activates the “fight or flight” response, preparing the body for action.
  2. Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS) – Supports the “rest and digest” state, promoting relaxation, recovery, and healing.

Nervous System Regulation Guidance

We take a holistic approach to your well-being. Nervous system regulation involves understanding you as a whole—including your current stressors—and equipping you with tools to manage stress effectively.

These tools include breathwork, somatic exercises (to help you connect with your body and emotions), meditation, mindfulness, and more. While this is not psychotherapy, it serves as a bridge between psychotherapy and physical therapy.

This is ideal for those who:

-Are struggling with ongoing pain

-Are experiencing pain or injury and are in a stressful time in life

-Notice their pain increases when their stress increases

-Feel anxiety and stress limit them from living in the present moment

-Feeling they are in a loop of constant stress and anxiety

Vibroacoustic Therapy:

Vibroacoustic Therapy uses sound and vibrations to restore the body’s natural balance. By enhancing cellular communication, it helps address disruptions caused by stress, injury, or inflammation, promoting relaxation and healing.

We use a 20 lb weight blanket, an eye mask, and option to use essential oils.

 

This is ideal for people who:

-Have trouble meditating or calming their nervous system on their own

-Have difficulty understanding what a calmed nervous system feels like

-Want to go inward to tap more into their intuition to gain perspective

-Who want a psychedelic experience without the medication

-Experiencing ongoing stress and need a break from it all

*Sessions are $40/30 minute but we also offer a package of 6 ($30/session) and 10 ($25/session).
